Lontong

Hello! It's Hari Raya and is somehow the rebirth of this blog. -- I decide.

Lontong is one of the traditional food during Lebaran Aidilfitri. Good to eat with Serunding, Kuah Lodeh and whatsoever lah!

Every year celebrant spend their time with families and loved ones. We splurge on shopping of new clothes, furnitures, etc.

Oh! Also forgiveness from the elders.

However, I'm thinking of the poor and the unfortunate. After a long thought, I think celebrating Hari Raya is mainly suitable for the rich and fortunate group. Whereas the average group is struggling to look like the rich - as if there are no problems. The poor group has no money. To avoid embarrassment due to ego, some of the poor do not celebrate at all.

Happiness are always for the kids. They got money from the elderly. The rule is once u are in a working life, it's a responsibility to give kids a little token like money! Imagine a jobless person - so who cares? Rule is rule. As for Christmas, give away gifts/presents which is called Boxing Day. Lunar New Year, give away oranges and money. Deepavali I have no idea. Tumeric? Curry powder? I think Indian have the most Chill culture for their New Year. Ok what else? Halloween just give candies to kids at the door but we don't have such tradition here. We just dress up like pontianak or pocong and enjoy the party in the club. Some Taxi drivers in graveyard shift find the night a disastrous.

Back to my subject. It is not easy to get homemade lontong. An average of 4 hrs cooking to achieve the right softness. I would want to make my own one fine day. Yes lontong, one fine day.

Ok before I kena lontong, I sincerely wish all Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri Mohon Maaf Zahir dan Batin.

That was actually tongue twisted to say. Its not that easy for me.

But are we all serious? How about those who hold the term of Forgive and Never Forget? There are a lot of such people. Alright nevermind.

I would want to help the poor in future.
